Taking Indian Science to the World
The SI Insights Global STEM Ambassador Scheme is an initiative by SI Insights (SI Research and Solutions Pvt Ltd) to support Indian scientists, researchers, faculty members, PhD scholars, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Medicine) professionals who present India’s scientific, technological, engineering, and medical achievements at reputed international conferences, congresses, and global forums. The scheme aims to enhance the international visibility of Indian research and innovation, promote global scientific collaboration, and encourage young and emerging researchers to represent India’s growing capabilities in STEM.
Who Can Apply
The scheme supports researchers affiliated with recognized Indian universities, research institutions, national laboratories, medical institutions, and R&D organizations. Priority is given to early-career researchers, high-impact research, indigenous innovations, nationally relevant research, and work addressing major global challenges.
Focus Areas
Eligible STEM areas include Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Space Science, Climate and Environment, Water Resources, Biotechnology, Healthcare, Quantum Technology, Semiconductors, Energy, Geospatial Technology, Advanced Engineering, and Emerging Technologies.
Financial Assistance
Financial assistance ranges from ₹30,000 to ₹2.5 lakh per researcher, depending on the nature and significance of the international forum and the applicant’s role. Support may be provided toward conference registration, international travel, accommodation, visa/insurance, and local transportation, subject to approved limits and availability of funds.
Evaluation Criteria
Applications are evaluated on scientific and technical excellence; novelty and impact of the research; reputation and international relevance of the forum; potential to showcase India’s STEM capabilities; the applicant’s research track record; and potential for international collaboration.
Ambassador Expectations
Selected researchers are designated SI Insights Global STEM Ambassadors and are expected to acknowledge SI Insights’ support, submit a brief post-conference report, and provide an India STEM Impact Note highlighting the significance of their research and India’s contribution.
